Hello First post here,

I have land and love fresh eggs, :D I live close to the lake and the coyotes live a couple hundred feet away, :o how can I keep them safe? I have a large 7' wide 8' deep and 8' tall wooden box; I plan on using half of it for the coop and the other for tool storage. Where is the best place to buy chicken wire? Anyone know of a local place to purchase some hatchlings? Which breed should I get and why?

Thanks in advance for your help,

well, try a dog.
i have 3 great pyrennes and have not lost any bird that was intelligent enough to stay INSIDE the fence line.
coyotes, coons, skunks, armadillos, etc know to stay out or face the consequences on my 6 acres.
