BEST EVER COCONUT CAKE

It took me 3 years to steal this recipe away from a lady. But it was worth it!

BEST EVER COCONUT CAKE

Box of yellow cake mix with pudding
16 oz sour cream – regular
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
14 oz Bakers coconut
8 oz regular cool whip

Make cake according to directions – 2 layers – let cool completely

Mix sour cream, sugar and coconut – beat until sugar dissolves

Set 3/4 cup if this mixture aside and combine with cool whip and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Split 2 layers of cake into 4 layers. Stack on cake plate with sour cream mixture between each layer.

Ice cake top and sides with the cool whip mixture.

Place finished cake in refrigerator for 3 days prior to serving so the flavors will mingle.
